After hearing word that SABATON’s latest album, Carolus Rex, achieved the band’s highest first-week sales in the U.S. and debuted at #29 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart last week, bassist Pär Sundström shares his thoughts on the band’s recent achievements: “We are really happy to see that the U.S. does embrace SABATON. So many people said to us that we are wasting our time and money by going to the U.S., but the tour we just finished - and now this Billboard Heatseeker entry - shows that those who did not believe in SABATON will be proven wrong and we will have a glorious future in America.” Carolus Rex was released in North America on May 22nd. SABATON’s CD Release Party was held on May 23rd at The Key Club in Hollywood. Packed from wall-to-wall with fans chanting “SA-BA-TON! SA-BA-TON!” in unison, the band delivered a high-energy performance from the first minute to the last.
