Two decades after putting out their revolutionary albums »Chaos AD« (1993) and »Roots« (1996), that paved the way for the unique blend of traditional Brazilian and thrash sounds, legendary Brazilian metal icons SEPULTURA are premiering the music video for the track ‘Da Lama Ao Caos’, a Chico Science & Nação Zumbi cover, on the homepage of German Metal Hammer today. Check out the video here: Commented guitarist Andreas Kisser: “Our relationship with Nação Zumbi is very cool. When SEPULTURA was starting to use Brazilian percussion, Chico Science was emerging at the same time, doing almost the opposite. While we were incorporating Brazilian music into the weight of heavy metal, they were adding the weight of rock guitars into the unique sounds of Pernambuco’s regional music. And the song ‘Da Lama Ao Caos’ is an example of that.” The song is taken from the bands most current and 13th studio album »The Mediator Between Head And Hands Must Be The Heart« that was released on October 25, 2013 via Nuclear Blast. The video directed by Rafael Kent and the team of Okent Films in co-production with Music&Art, was filmed in one day and explores the plasticity of the aesthetic elements of Pernambucan culture, which is represnted in SEPULTURA’s version of the song.
