Virginia’s emotive metal band WHILE HEAVEN WEPT have joined forces with Ireland’s Primordial for a 7-show mid-Western/East Coast tour in September, including WHW’s first hometown show in Northern Virginia in 23 years. Support for all dates will be provided by San Francisco's genre-defying Cormorant. Having toured last spring in Europe with his epic Irish comrades, WHW guitarist/songwriter/founding member Tom Phillips shares the following about the upcoming trek: "The Primordial/WHW/Alcest European tour last year was heralded as one of the most-anticipated packages of 2011, resulting in requests to bring this billing to other countries the world over... thus, we could not be more excited to reunite with our brethren from the Republic of Ireland and storm our way through a cross-section of the United States! "What makes this alliance so potent is the fact that the music of all the bands involved is melodic, epic, and to some extent, melancholic. We're unified by emotions and extra-musical ideas rather than genre, which is far more gratifying for all of us and certainly more interesting to witness. We look forward to seeing everyone out on the road in September!"
