German post metal heroes OCEANS light a beacon of hope and solidarity with the broken and misunderstood: Today, the band from Berln/Vienna announces their new digital-only EP "We Are Nøt Okay" to be released on April, 30th.
Cooperating with The Ocean In Your Mind, A German NPO, OCEANS add a very serious tone to their newest output by turning "music for the depressed" into active help and encouraging fans to join the cause.
The title track "WE ARE NØT OKAY" featuring Andy Dörner from CALIBAN marks the first single of the EP and will be released on February, 26th. Pre-save the single here: http://nblast.de/OceansWANOpreSave
Singer Timo Rotten states:
"WE ARE NØT OKAY” is supposed to raise awareness for the struggles people face when fighting mental illness. For most of us it is difficult to understand what it feels like to deal with mental illness everyday. Unfortunately a lot of people are driven even more into isolation by this. We hope that we can build bridges with our music and end the stigma of mental health in society. Three of the four songs on the EP deal with different aspects of mental illness and therefore, they are pretty dark. For the last track it was important to us to end it on a lighter note, to raise out of the abyss and back into the light. Because in the end we want to give hope to the people."
Raphael Funck, Founder of The Ocean In Your Mind e.V. adds:
“We dream of a world, in which people can freely show their vulnerability. We are giving hope a voice and are fighting together against suicide and for mental health.”
More information will be revealed via Nuclear Blast and OCEANS soon. Stay tuned!
