Legendary Swedish heavy metal powerhouse HAMMERFALL release the remixed version of their globally acclaimed break-through album "Renegade" today via Nuclear Blast.

Back in year 2000, after the already euphoric reactions over their recent albums (Glory To The Brave, 1997 & Legacy Of Kings, 1998), the band travelled all the way to Nashville to work with iconic producer Michael Wagener (MÖTLEY CRÜE, METALLICA, MEGADETH, OZZY OSBOURNE), leaving the safe space that was Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden where the aforementioned landmark releases had been produced.

Renegade marked the international breakt-through for the up and coming band featuring true heavy metal anthems like "Templars Of Steel", "A Legend Reborn", "Keep The Flame Burning" or the incredibly successful title track.

For its 20th anniversary the band went full circle by having Fredrik Nordström (DIMMU BORGIR, AT THE GATES, ARCH ENEMY, IN FLAMES) remix the album and besides that new touch also deliver a range of lavish physical formats with tons of bonus content and extended liner notes and interviews as well as brand new cover artwork, again created by the great Andreas Marshall who already painted the iconic original cover.

Ever since the release of their debut album, „Glory To The Brave“, in 1997, HAMMERFALL dropped jaws everywhere they went. 3 years and one album („Legacy Of Kings“, 1998) later, Swedish heavy metal saviors HAMMERFALL released what would be their international break-through and first number one record in their native: „Renegade“. Songs like the title track, the ballad „Always Will Be“, the ferocious opening track „Templars Of Steel“ or the pummeling „The Way Of The Warrior“ made the album the landmark release that it is today. From then on out HAMMERFALL kept rising through the ranks, becoming an institution in the metal world and are responsible for the revival of traditional heavy metal in the post-grunge music scene. Almost 30 years, countless tours around the globe and 11 albums in, HAMMERFALL are still going strong, being one of the most successful heavy bands to ever come out of Sweden.
