Slayer’s legendary second studio album Hell Awaits from 1985 celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. To honor the occasion, the band has expanded their official Slaytanic Verses Archive with a new chapter in their history: Hell On Tour. The collection offers a behind-the-scenes look at Slayer’s 1985 world tour through the handwritten notebook of their tour manager. The journey spans four intense weeks — from mid-March up to the release date of Hell Awaits on April 19th, 1985.

On their website, Slayer write about the new archive collection:

"Slayer’s original 1985 Hell Awaits Tour notebook documents the crucial moments when the band began its rise to international power, turning clubs into war zones and fans into a legion."

In the interactive archive, you can flip through the notebook yourself, explore tour photos, and dive into videos and background stories. Enjoy immersing yourself in Slayer’s history!
