It is a release marked by deep emotion. In the summer of 2025, the tragic accidental death of founding member and guitarist Brent Hinds shook the music world. Despite this devastating setback, Mastodon decided to look forward and continue their shared journey. Marrow Deep thus marks the first studio album in the band's history to be recorded without Hinds. The album is available for pre-order starting now.
Just how much strength and new-found drive is in the band's current phase is emphasized by bassist and vocalist Troy Sanders in a moving statement:
“Bill, Brann, and myself are thrilled that we still have the opportunity to do this, and we've got other members who are just over the moon to be in the band with us. That's a magical feeling that makes us keep wanting to go to band practice. It’s reminiscent of the very beginning of our band, where all members are hungry, we're united, and excited to get to work. And we’re thrilled to have the opportunity to do this record.”

After the US metallers already caused a stir in early June with the first single release, “Your Ghost Again,” they are now following up strong. With “Snakes For Dinner,” the second track from the new album is available now.
