Slayer shows have been a rare sight since their breakup in 2019 and reunion in 2024.
After massive appearances at Riot Fest in Chicago (September 22, 2024) and Aftershock Festival in Sacramento (October 10, 2024), it was time once again.
Last night, Slayer took the stage at Blackweir 2025 in Cardiff, Wales – delivering a relentless set that left nothing unanswered.
Setlist highlights
Alongside the must-have classics like “Raining Blood”, “Angel of Death” and “South of Heaven”, fans were treated to some deeper cuts as well. A particularly special moment: “Spirit in Black” was played live for the first time since 2017 – a true goosebump moment for long-time Slayer fans.
Another standout: “213”, the disturbingly intimate track from Divine Intervention, made its way into the set – as did the explosive “Black Magic”, which served as a crushing lead-in to the finale.
A powerful emotional peak came with “Postmortem”, where the crowd took over the last verse in unison.
