Few days ago, Virginia's long running epic metal legend WHILE HEAVEN WEPT released their sixth full length album »Suspended At Aphelion«. Today the band reveals the official lyric video for the song 'Reminiscence Of Strangers / Lifelines Lost. Check out the clip here:
Commented guitarist & songwriter Tom Phillips: “Part 9 of »Suspended At Aphelion« may be the most poignant point of the journey with its starkness and the acceptance of defeat - the sun forever out of reach - yet adored nonetheless. It also marks the entrance of one of my lifelong heroes and now close friend Victor Arduini, co-founder of FATES WARNING, who delivers the most epic guitar solo of his life...that actually bridges Part 9 with Part 10.”
Commented Victor Arduini: “When I was asked to contribute a solo it was originally a short piece to play over. Once I began to work out the structure and harmonies I just couldn't stop. It inspired me to keep writing, keep playing to what turned out to be a 4 minute orchestral highlight of my career.”
Added Tom Phillips: “Part 10 of »Suspended At Aphelion« is also an insight into the future; ‘Lifelines Lost’ is the most recent music channeled on this album - from February of this year...the counterpoint, maze of key changes, and overall scope...that is an indication of what's coming for sure. The cover art for »Suspended At Aphelion« was once again created by Gustavo Sazes (MORBID ANGEL, ARCH ENEMY etc.), and three separate audio masters were optimized for LP, CD, and digital download formats.
WHILE HEAVEN WEPT also reunited with producer/engineer Kevin "131" Gutierrez (RAVEN, DECEASED, DYSRHYTHMIA) at Assembly Line Studios for the recording of »Suspended At Aphelion« 12 years after creating their classic »Of Empires Forlorn« album together, solidifying an already strong team for their most epic of epics!
