Sepultura is currently on their big farewell tour, but that might not be the last we see of the metal legends. Contrary to all expectations that the band would retire after the final concert, Sepultura is also planning to release a farewell EP next year.
As guitarist Andreas Kisser revealed in a video interview with Mystic Talks, Sepultura is planning to put out a new EP with four songs next year to say goodbye. It will also be the first time drummer Greyson Nekrutman is featured on a record. As you know, Greyson joined the band in 2024 after Eloy Casagrande surprisingly announced his departure to join Slipknot.
Kisser commented on the creative process as follows:
“We’ve been doing it at our own pace, without a rush. There are no song titles yet—we can decide that later. We’re still mixing the material, without pressure. And that’s great. The idea of the farewell tour gives us the opportunity to do something like that—with as little planning as possible, to challenge ourselves artistically and to challenge ourselves anew in this situation.”
