Since their first album release 'Soft & Stronger' in 1997, DIE APOKALYPTISCHEN REITER stand for a crazy but ingenious mixture of all different elements of mostly hard & dark music. No matter if you like Thrash, Power, Gothic, Black, Death or whatever kind of metal, DIE APOKALYPTISCHEN REITER have shown that it's possible to mingle EVERYTHING and create brilliant, homogenous songs from it. 'All You Need Is Love', originally released 2000 through Dutch label Hammerheart Records, now is re-released by Nuclear Blast, packed in a slick digi pak. Besides last year’s album 'Have A Nice Trip', this is the most powerful and catchy REITER album yet, featuring great songs like 'Licked By The Tongues Of Pride', 'Unter der Asche' and of course the explosive, galloping band hymn 'Reitermania', a must at every REITER concert! Founded in 1995, DIE APOKALYPTISCHEN REITER soon brought up a lot of attention with their demo 'Firestorm', recorded in 1996. Growls, screams and clean vocals plus a wide spectrum of every imaginable metal style (Black, Death, Thrash, etc. etc.) made the first REITER creation a unique piece of music. The following debut long player 'Soft & Stronger', released through Ars Metalli, made the musical REITER direction even more clear: Never before a band combined so many different kinds of music in such a homogeneous way like these four Germans did. The guys just didn't stick to any boundaries and continued their open-minded way consequently with the vinyl EP 'Dschinghis Khan' and 'Allegro Barbaro'. First, people may have reacted a bit sceptical to the very own REITER style, but with time came sympathy. The 2000 album 'All You Need Is Love' marked the most important release of the band thus far, for it finally silenced even the last doubters – an absolute killer album without any musical blinders, only power, catchy songs and the band's typical melange of styles in perfection. A three weeks lasting tour with MACABRE through the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, the Czech Republic, Austria, Italy and Switzerland in 2001 became a real REITER triumph and the festival appearances of the guys marked unforgettable highlights, too. Alone at Wacken 2001, more than 20.000 enthusiastic people celebrated together with DIE APOKALYPTISCHEN REITER! In 2003, the next album 'Have A Nice Trip' surfaced and continued the crazy but congenial and resourceful REITER style & spirit: 'Vier Reiter stehn bereit', 'Warum' or 'Paradies' are terrific songs that reflect the intention of the band's music extremely well – fun but also profoundness. So if you missed buying 'All You Need Is Love' at its first release, you must pick this up – because all you need is love...and this CD!
