The Killer Instinct will be the name of the second studio album by hard rock supergroup BLACK STAR RIDERS, due out in North America in early 2015 on Nuclear Blast Entertainment.

“Life's not fair, never has been, never will,” states BLACK STAR RIDERS vocalist & songwriter Ricky Warwick. “Sometimes you have to live with a killer instinct just to survive in the ongoing pursuit of happiness… because nobody can do for you what you should be doing for yourself.”

After touring the globe in support of their world-acclaimed 2013 debut album All Hell Breaks Loose, the band entered the studio in Nashville, Tennessee this past October with heralded producer Nick Raskulinecz (RUSH, FOO FIGHTERS, ALICE IN CHAINS, MASTODON) to record their sophomore release. Creative forces flowed and the energy in the studio was dynamic.

“Nick Raskulinecz came riding out of the sunset like a Viking warrior, with his record collection and arsenal of killer guitars and amplifiers and proved to be the world class producer we had heard so much about. Indeed, the rumors are all true,” shares BLACK STAR RIDERS guitarist & songwriter Damon Johnson. “There's no doubt that Ricky [Warwick] and I had written a sizable number of songs, but Nick patiently walked through the full song list with the entire band and made sure we focused on the material to best represent BLACK STAR RIDERS in 2015.”

Track listing for The Killer Instinct is:

01. The Killer Instinct

04. Soldierstown
05. Charlie I Gotta Go
06. Blindsided
07. Through The Motions
