Montreal based death metal powerhouse KATAKLYSM, took home the award for “Metal Artist/Group or Duo of the Year” at this year’s installment of the SiriusXM Indie Awards. Some of the other artist nominated this year in that category included BLOOD CEREMONY, GORGUTS, KENmode, and VOIVOD. "We are very pleased for this great honor,” commented the band. “KATAKLYSM remains one of the hardest working bands on the planet and we won’t change who we are ever. The future looks bright and winning this award puts a big smile on our face. The fans have spoken; thank you!" KATAKLYSM recently released the music video for their rendition of the SACRED REICH classic ‘The American Way’, here. The clip was shot by director Tommy Jones (TESTAMENT, DEATH ANGEL, EX DEO), during their recent North American tour with Belgian gore-grinders ABORTED.
